I don’t know about you, but I’m finding it hard to believe that Christmas is only four sleeps away! It’s a little bit scary because I’ve still got loads of Christmas shopping to do – yes, very disorganised, I know. I do the same thing every year and swear to myself that I’ll be more organised next year. But it never happens. And to be honest, that probably won’t change. Maybe I secretly like fighting through crowds for last minute presents… Hmm. Maybe not. Maybe I’m just a good procrastinator. 😉
Shopping pain aside, I’m really looking forward to the silly season. Catching up with family and friends, eating lots of great food, and reflecting on the year that’s past. When I stop and think about it, I realise 2011 has been a great year for me. I’ve made wonderful progress on my WiP, been healthy and happy for most of the year, had an enjoyable permanent job that’s allowed me good work/life balance, and started and maintained a blog that’s helped me to connect with so many amazing people (yep, I’m talking about YOU!).
Seeing as many of you are busily preparing for a white Christmas, I thought I’d share a photo from my Christmas day last year to show you what it’s like in Australia at this time of year.
I’m taking a blog-holiday over Christmas and New Year’s Eve so this will be my last post for 2011. I want to say a huge THANK YOU!!! for your support this year. I can’t wait to share more of my writing journey (and life in general!) with you next year. Have a wonderful festive season and remember to stay safe!
